The resolution acknowledges the organization’s contributions to the hearing aid specialist profession. A bipartisan resolution was introduced in the US House of Representatives on April 23, 2026, to recognize the 75th anniversary of the Michigan-based International Hearing Society (IHS). The resolution was introduced by Rep Hillary Scholten (D-MI), and joined by Reps Tom Barrett (R-MI), Kristen McDonald Rivet (D-MI), Debbie Dingell (D-MI), and Haley Stevens (D-MI). The resolution, H.Res. 1214, recognizes the contributions of IHS in supporting the profession of hearing aid specialists at national and international levels.
