The partnership with Hassrick highlights the performance of Widex Allure hearing aids for athletes managing congenital hearing loss. Widex announced it has named 19-year-old US Ski Jumper Estella Hassrick as its newest brand ambassador. Hassrick, who has managed congenital hearing loss since birth, will represent the brand and its Widex Allure hearing aid technology. “Estella embodies everything Widex stands for,” says Alan Raffauf, head of brand marketing, Widex, in a release. “Her confidence, authenticity, and refusal to let hearing loss define her limits make her an inspiring athlete and a natural match for Widex. She shows young people everywhere that clarity, both in sound and in self, can fuel extraordinary performance.” Hassrick, a member of the US Ski Team, previously faced challenges wearing hearing aids during competition. Traditional devices were impractical under her ski helmet, causing discomfort and feedback, which forced her to compete without them. She has since been fitted with Widex Allure, which she can wear comfortably under her helmet.
