Lake Como, Italy — The NHS 2012 Conference, titled “Beyond Newborn Hearing Screening. Infant and Childhood Hearing in Science and Clinical Practice,” and the Second International Conference on Adult Hearing Screening (AHS 2012) will take place June 2012 in Lake Como, Italy.

From June 5 to June 7, 2012, experts in the field of newborn hearing screening from around the world will meet to share concepts, models, and results on the most recent advances in hearing screening, audiologic and medical diagnosis, and intervention for newborns and infants.

Following NHS 2012, the AHS 2012 conference will be held in the same location on June 7-9, 2012, and will focus on a comprehensive spectrum of issues and disciplines related to early identification and treatment of auditory dysfunctions in adults and the elderly.

Both conferences will include keynote addresses by leading scientists and clinicians in the field of hearing screening, as well as platform and poster presentations in a series of concurrent sessions.

The two events are an effort to establish an international forum and facilitate the networking of scientists, clinical researchers, and technicians.

The event organizers are also accepting original contributions on various topics for oral or poster presentations. A list of NHS topics for presentations are available here; AHS topics are available here. The deadline for abstract submissions for both conferences is February 6, 2012.
