Rayovac, Middleton, Wis, a division of Spectrum Brands Inc, announced developments to its newest generation of hearing aid batteries at the AudiologyNOW! AAA 2015 convention in San Antonio, Texas. As the manufacturer of a popular hearing aid battery for hearing care professionals and their patients, Rayovac reports that the company is committed to continued innovation to keep pace with technology advancements in the hearing industry.

At AAA 2015, Rayovac unveiled its ProLine Advanced hearing aid batteries created with a newly optimized formula designed for the high demands of today’s hearing instruments. More sophisticated sound processing and new wireless applications in hearing aids place unprecedented demands for power, says the company, and continue to push the boundaries of hearing aid battery technology. Rayovac’s new battery design includes enhanced voltage, retention, and improved reliability. This results in a higher operating voltage with greater stabilizing consistency, according to Rayovac, which supports the demands of modern hearing devices.

According to the Rayovac announcement, the company makes significant investments in performance technologies to enhance the capabilities of its hearing aid batteries, including spending millions of dollars on research and development. These resources help the company produce batteries with strong performance, reliability, and innovation.

“Hearing aid technology has changed dramatically over the past decade,” said Kevin Kouba, DVP North America Hearing Aid Battery Sales at Rayovac. “With wireless advancements, the need for batteries to meet and exceed the required standard is paramount. Rayovac’s new generation of batteries will provide unique stabilizing power to meet the high-energy requirements of today’s wireless technologies.”

Kouba added in the company announcement that Rayovac showcased the company’s newest generation of hearing aid batteries to professionals at the AudiologyNOW! convention in advance of a broader release of that technology. The rollout of the enhanced voltage Rayovac hearing aid batteries in North America will be complete in fall 2015.
