Spangenberg, who has served as chief commercial officer and head of delivery since 2019, will succeed Kurt Bager effective Sept 25, leading the Denmark-based hearing care software company’s next phase of growth.
Auditdata, a Denmark-based software company serving hearing care clinics and hospitals, has appointed Christoffer Spangenberg as its new CEO, effective Sept 25, 2026. Spangenberg succeeds Kurt Bager, who is leaving the company to begin a new professional chapter.
Spangenberg has been with Auditdata since 2019, most recently serving as chief commercial officer and head of delivery, roles in which he oversaw the company’s commercial activities and delivery organization and was closely involved in Auditdata’s largest international partnerships as well as the development of its products and platforms.
“The hearing care industry is under increasing pressure to help more patients with fewer resources, and the right technology can make a meaningful difference. Auditdata has a strong position, deep industry expertise, and close customer relationships. My goal is to build on that foundation and make Auditdata the most innovative software provider in the hearing care industry,” says Spangenberg in a release.
As CEO, Spangenberg says he will prioritize continued investment in Auditdata’s clinical and commercial platforms, as well as the company’s work with AI. The company has previously highlighted AI-assisted tools as a key area of development, including AI-supported audiology software and AI-powered clinical notes designed to reduce administrative burden on clinicians.
Leadership Background
Spangenberg brings extensive experience in the international software industry, having held senior leadership roles — including CEO and CCO positions — at SaaS and IT companies such as Tia Technology, Experian, Addition A/S, and SAS Institute, with both global and European responsibilities. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Copenhagen and an Executive MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Bager is stepping down following a period in which the company launched new products and platforms, won major customers, and expanded its international presence.
“Auditdata has undergone significant development in recent years. We have launched new products, won major customers, and strengthened our international position. Christoffer has an in-depth understanding of the business, our customers, and the organization, making him the right person to build on this progress and lead Auditdata into its next phase,” says Bager in a release.
Auditdata’s software solutions support clinical workflows, patient care pathways, and the commercial operations of hearing care providers. The Hearing Review has previously covered the company’s work addressing staffing shortages and administrative burdens facing hearing care clinics, as well as its revamped practice management platform.
