Throughout September, participating Beltone hearing centers nationwide will collect non-perishable food donations for local food banks while offering free hearing screenings in recognition of Hunger Action Month.
Beltone has launched its third annual “Hear2End Hunger” Food Drive, a nationwide community initiative that pairs non-perishable food collection with free hearing screenings at participating hearing centers throughout September.
Timed to coincide with Hunger Action Month, the campaign enlists Beltone hearing centers across the country to serve as local drop-off sites for food donations, with all contributions directed to food banks and hunger-relief organizations in their respective communities. Participating centers will simultaneously offer free hearing screenings throughout the month, positioning the initiative as a dual-purpose community engagement effort.
“Hearing health is an important part of overall health and quality of life, and we believe caring for our communities goes beyond the walls of our hearing centers,” says David Molella, president of Beltone Hearing, in a release. “We’re incredibly proud to bring Hear2End Hunger back for its third year and to see our hearing centers continue to rally around their communities. This initiative gives us an opportunity to help put food on the table for local families while also encouraging people to take a proactive approach to their hearing health. It’s inspiring to see our centers, food banks and community organizations come together year after year to make a meaningful difference.”
The campaign reflects a broader wellness message that Beltone has woven into its community outreach in recent years. The company notes that nutrients found in a balanced diet—including omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, potassium, folate, and zinc—support functions such as healthy circulation, nerve function, and cellular health, all of which are relevant to hearing health.
Part of the GN Group, Beltone operates approximately 1,200 locations nationwide. The Hear2End Hunger initiative builds on the company’s stated “Independent Together” commitment to its network of hearing care professionals and the communities they serve.
