Scholarships

 The Audiology Foundation of America
The Audiology Foundation of America (AFA) is accepting nominations for its Outstanding AuD Student Scholarships. Nominees must be second or third year students. The Oticon Foundation, also known as the William Demant and Ida Emilie Foundation, contributed $25,000 in grants for the scholarships. Two second-year AuD students and two third-year AuD students will receive the scholarships for the 2004-2005 academic year.

The AFA will also be awarding the AFA School-Based Practitioner Scholarship to encourage new applications to distance learning AuD programs by school-based audiology practitioners. The AFA will award five scholarships of $1,000 this year. Recipients must be enrolled in a distance learning AuD program by December 31, 2004, or be on a verifiable waiting list.
